Designing Assessment and Evaluation with the End in Mind
Designing assessments with the end-in-mind means to consider what is expected of the participant at the end of the training experience in terms of performance so that experience is all that is needed for further improvement.
This process can be considered in stages. In the the following diagram, I have added questions to clarify each stage in general terms. After reflection on these stages, the most appropriate assessment method is selected for the objectives at the needed mastery level given the limitations for the program.
